A business lawyer with more than 40 years of experience in private practice in BC, Chris is a graduate of Queen’s University at Kingston and Osgoode Hall Law School. He was admitted to the British Columbia bar in 1977.
Chris has a wide and varied professional experience. Over the course of his career, he’s served in numerous roles including criminal defence counsel, crown counsel, counsel for ICBC and as a barrister before every level of court in the province.
As a dedicated supporter of ongoing education and development within the profession, Chris regularly participates in continuing legal education programmes. He has lectured extensively in business law to the Surrey Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Programme, the Entrepreneur Apprenticeship Programme, and the Youth Entrepreneurship Programme.
Professionally, Chris is a past member of the Canadian Bar Association, the BC Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. At the community level, he’s Past President of the Port Moody Foundation and is a former Parks Commissioner for the City of Port Moody.
After 44 years of practicing law, Chris has now retired from Darnell Law Group and from the practice of law. An avid adventurer and travel lover, Chris will be spending his time traveling and seeing the world.
