As a strong, passionate and experienced family law professional, Monica is committed to achieving solid resolutions for her clients. She has successfully represented them in the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, as well as the Court of Appeal.

Monica’s dedication and focus on family law means she is well-equipped to advise on all aspects of this area of practice including divorce, child and spousal support, custody and guardianship, parenting time and division of assets.

Monica’s ability to deal with sensitive and emotional issues that typically arise during family law cases has provided her with considerable empathy and understanding. This has served her well as she’s been able to help clients navigate a complex legal system while making critical and life-altering decisions. Monica can also offer legal guidance on other family law matters such as separation, marriage and cohabitation agreements.

After receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Leadership from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2007, Monica moved to Australia where she went on to earn her Juris Doctor (Hons) from Bond University in 2014. She was called to the British Columbia bar the following year and has been practicing in the Lower Mainland since then.

When she’s not passionately advocating for her clients, in her spare time Monica enjoys spending time with her family and keeping the family pets out of trouble. Prior to the pandemic, you could also find her dining out with friends and travelling to various points of interest around the globe.
