We learned today of the untimely passing of  Kathy Sainty KC, a friend and colleague of many years.

Until her retirement in 2022, Kathy was a prominent member of the lower mainland bar- widely known, liked, and respected.

If you practiced in the courts at all during the past 20 odd years, you inevitably crossed her path, as she sat as a Deputy Registrar, then Registrar at both the New Westminster and Vancouver courthouses from 2001 until  2014, and she literally wrote the handbook on how to appear before a Registrar.

In the next chapter of her legal career she returned to private practice as a mediator and arbitrator, and this firm was a frequent customer. as we valued her calm , no-nonsense, common sense approach.

Kathy, we were honoured to know you, and are saddened by losing you.
